A Letter from the Artistic Director

Dear friends,

It's been a longtime dream of mine to create something that brings together everything most dear to me: music, my roots, family, and friends. Chamber music has a unique capability to bridge dynamic music making with listeners in a personal and intimate capacity, and it's been my mission to bring that back to where my musical journey began.

ChamberFest 414 is a week-long celebration of all the ways in which chamber music is for everyone. We'll start the week off with a pair of Beyond the Classroom performances, where students from across the greater Milwaukee area experience what makes chamber music so special. The following day features chamber music masterclasses, where the next generation of young musicians work intensively with our festival artists. The weekend brings a performance in the Dawes Studio Theater before we close in the main hall, chamber music in two distinct ways: the intimacy of a studio and the grandeur of the full concert hall.

In partnership with the Sharon Lynne Wilson Center, ChamberFest 414 is an opportunity to create a uniquely immersive, multifaceted, and personal relationship between the artists, music, and community. On a personal note, it brings me immense joy that I grew up with the Wilson Center in my backyard, and to create this partnership alongside their 25th anniversary feels especially poetic.

Whether you're a first-timer or a regular, please join us! It would bring me no greater pleasure than to welcome you to the inaugural year of ChamberFest 414. This festival was created not only to share the amazing artists I've met from around the world, but to give them the chance to experience what makes Milwaukee so special. September 2027 can't come soon enough!
